All together now ... "There's dog shit on my shoe!"

I sat and watched the Eurovision Song Contest recently and was so disappointed when the UK failed (yet again) to get off the bottom 5 with their catchy 1920's single, "Still in love with you" by Electro Velvet. But it was only while I listened to it again did it suddenly twig where I've heard it before ...

Listen to Electro Velvet first and then listen to Anthony Lee and The Plastic Palm Quartet sing, "Dog shit on my shoe". Think they sound similar ?

Maybe Electro Velvet should have sung about dog shit which would have appealed to the European audience who obviously don't know a good song when they hear it! :-)

GloZell

Move over Beyonce there is a new girl in town and she goes by the name of GloZell.

GloZell is the biggest name, so far, to take a stand and support the fight against dog fouling with this catchy and very funky music video on the subject. If we were all to buy her single on iTunes then we could be looking at a #1 single.

You go girl :-)

I think this one is a cracker!

 

I can hear so many influences here, Bob Dylan, the Beatles and even a hint of Oasis. It also has a dreamy, Seventies quality about it.

 

Suffice it to say, it took me back to my village in Cornwall in the seventies, i.e. absolutely awash as, indeed, it is today!

A Cartoon, Music and A Doorway to a Strange World!

Dog fouling has now become an everyday part of our culture. So much so that there appears to be an ever increasing variety of songs and routines designed around the topic of dog fouling.

 

This little cracker introduces us to the concept of collecting dog faeces. While I find that to be somewhat incomprehensible, I cannot get near to the idea of dabbing a bag of faeces onto your face!

Mr Hankey the Christmas Poo

While not specifically about dog fouling, I think we should all acknowledge that this song highlights our collective obsession with the production of faeces.

 

It is seasonal and combines Christmas with the act of fouling. What more could we want at this time of year?




Rochford Council - We Salute You - Absolute Legends!

"Poo to me is Disgusting"

 

 

What an amazing line! Once in every generation, a song comes along to capture the imagination and lead the entire nation in thought and deed! Rochford council has achieved such a feat with this amazing song!

 

Cathy Cook of Rochford Council wrote and sang this absolute barnstormer. I don't know how it will make you feel but, on hearing the song, I went out and kicked a massive pile of dog excrement. I achieved nothing but that's not the point!

 

Thanks must go to two of our operatives, who worked together across many miles to bring this to us. Operatives "Trish" from Manchester and "ML" from Cornwall, we acknowledge your commitment to the cause, thank you so much!

 

It only remains to get dancing to this tremendous work of art!
 

You're Singing On Stage When You Smell Something

What do you do?

 

Well, this lady did the decent thing and left the stage to remove the offending substance. There's little more to be said about this one other than to observe that it has taught respect to all!

As the lady looks at her feet, the singer comes out with the words (I think) "I'm just looking for a doctor". You can imagine what I thought she was singing!

Some Of The Songs On This Blog Have Been Bad

That said, I don't think we've hit these depths before!

 

"Why post it then?" I hear you ask. Perhaps I'm not sure! I can only suggest that its value lies in the way it proves how dog fouling now dominates even the world of artistic licence!

 

 

I Think The Message Here Is Clear!

I pointed out in my last post that I was a sociology student in the seventies. I also went to a few Punk Rock concerts. Looking at the lead singer in the video below, he might well have been there with me!

 

I rather feel that the name of the band is in somewhat poor taste and the language leaves a lot to be desired. That said, we applaud the message contained in this offering. It certainly had me pogoing!

 

 

Dog Fouling, Music And Christmas

In this Festive season it had to happen in some shape or form.

 

Here it is, a Christmas song about dog fouling, albeit that the fouling is taking place indoors.

 

I salute this artist and wish him and the dog a Merry Christmas!

 

 

If Music Be The Food Of Love.........

...then there won't be much romance in this fellow's life!

 

That said, this is still art! It has many positives, not least that it leaves us in no doubt that the singer has stepped in excrement.

 

I admire this man. He is not afraid to express his emotions. He shouts, he cries, he sings he also, by implication, has fouled his friend's carpet. Good on him!

 

I challenge you to listen to this and not hum it afterwards!

 

 

Dog Poo Fairy strikes again!!

Remember the Dog Poo Fairy campaign run by Keep Britain Tidy ?

Well the fairy is back and now she is armed with a new sprinkling of "dog poo magic" designed to drive dog fouling from the streets of the UK once and for all. She has obviously been reading our blog and realised that a good campaign needs music to "rally the troops" and get her message across.

But what makes this new campaign so much more, is that you can get involved by uploading the pictures of your pet dog and watch as they sing their heart out reminding you to pick up their dog poo.

Just to get you going I have included my dog singing. But then it struck me - why not upload pictures of famous people and get them to sing their support instead?

Hence was born the Boris Johnson dog fouling rap, the Alan Sugar "rock of poo" & the ever popular Barack Obama country swing.

For Once There Is A Tune!

At last, a song with something like music!

 

We will perhaps never know if the singer did fall over as described in the song. That said, given this is a work of art, it matters not.

 

He has the bags, he has the attitude, he has the message!

 

I say: "right on, brother"!

 

 



Music - The Great Medium Of Communication

Although not in this instance!

 

I'm not really sure why I've posted this. Only, really, to further demonstrate that dog fouling is affecting the minds of the young.

 

This "song" is enough to make most people throw their screens across the room.

 

The only words I can understand come at 55 seconds. Those words are "eat dog sh*t".

 

I think we will need many psychologists to help our youth out of this dog mess ridden era!

 



Another Video Capture

Once again we see the power of the video!

 

The gentleman on camera is wearing a dressing gown while he allows his dog to foul the lawn near a tennis court, directly outside a window!

 

I can't really say much more than that but must observe that it would be quite wrong to gather up a week's worth and post it to him. It would be illegal and I absolutely condemn any such idea! Never do it!

 

Similarly, don't smear it over his front door handle. Again, illegal and quite wrong. I could not begin to countenance such an act!



Totally Gratuitous Music Post

Even I am challenged around seeing the point of this "song".

 

It does nothing for the cause and makes no point. I post it simply as evidence that dog fouling is now all pervasive.

 



Another "Song" Re White Dog Poo

Now I cannot sing. Therefore, I would not allow anyone to video me attempting to sing, let alone video me and put it on Youtube.

The reference here to white dog poo appears somewhat gratuitous but gives evidence of the way dog fouling is now an accepted part of life.

Try not to self harm after listening to this!



There's Nothing Like A Good Song

And this really is nothing like a good song! In attaching the "music" label to this post, I have really stretched the definition of the term.

We've heard some really good songs on this blog. I rather like Dog Shit Blues and also Pick Up The Dog Shit. While they really got me going, this song didn't!

That said, it is still art. All such efforts have their own artistic value. There is value in this song, you simply have to look hard for it!

With all that said, I welcome a1dalet to the fight. All members of the cause are valued members of our global operation!
