Steve Bullock is the Mayor of the London Borough of Lewisham and is a veteran campaigner against red rubber bands being dropped in his borough.
A quick Google check also reveals that Steve has a particular dislike for dog fouling in his borough as well.
At last we have a local politician ready to stand up and take action on the subjects the people want dealt with.
I'm sure he would welcome your words of support on these subjects. http://www.mayorsteve.co.uk/
Imagine what Steve could do for the Dog Fouling & Red Rubber Bands campaign if we voted him in as Mayor of London.

If only more people saw the world with Steve's clarity. Compared to crime issues in the borough of Lewisham, not to mention pockets of social deprivation, the menace of red rubber bands stands out.
Well done, Steve, go head on with the Post Office. We are relying on you!
What if we changed the colour of the rubber bands - maybe concrete grey - would that help mask the problem ?
That's not the way forward. Masking the problem leaves it unaddressed. I say make them of a substance, which becomes sticky and hard to remove. That way, the problem cannot be ignored.
